Welcome to the UMSL Writing Center

Summer 2026: The Writing Center will be open Monday, June 1 through Thursday, August 7. Hours of operation are posted below. Appointments are available in-person / on campus and online.

The Writing Center will be closed the week of Monday, June 29 through Friday, July 3 to accommodate for summer holidays. 

Please note: Our hours and appointments are limited in the summer. You must make an appointment to use the Writing Center. You may make two appointments each week. The Writing Center cannot accommodate additional time for one person beyond those two weekly appointments.

Here's how to get help with us!

1. Register using your UMSL email address. Click on "Register for an account" on the left side of this page.

2. Log in! Find an available day and time that works best for you.

3. Coming to see us in person? Simply show up during your appointment time. You can find us in MSC 225, behind the radio station.

4. Want help online? When making your appointment, select “Get Feedback Via Email” to send your writing to us, or select "Chat Live With A Tutor" to chat and work live online. Don't forget to attach your writing and assignment requirements.
